Mentors volunteer opportunity –requirements/ responsibilities

• 21 years old or older.

• Willing to travel.

• Be a positive role model.

• Resides in New York or New Jersey

• One-year commitment.

• Complete the screening and training process.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures.

• Stay accessible, committed, and engaged during the length of the program.

• Provide open and candid feedback.

• Offer encouragement through genuine positive reinforcement.

• Keep your conversations confidential

• Share “lessons learned” from their own experiences.

• Inform the Mentoring Program Manager as soon as possible if you are having a problem connecting with your mentee.
